Sufficient color contrast ratios for text readability

Alt text for all meaningful images

Responsive design that works across devices and screen sizes

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some content may have limitations:

  • Embedded maps: Google Maps embeds on our locations and contact pages may have limited accessibility. For directions, you can use the "Get Directions" links which open Google Maps directly.
  • Third-party content: Some content hosted by third parties (donation platform, careers portal) may not fully meet our accessibility standards.
  • PDF documents: Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. Please contact us if you need information from a document in an alternative format.

We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across all areas of our website.

Physical Accessibility

In addition to our digital accessibility efforts, BHS is committed to physical accessibility at our 25 facilities across Southern California. Our locations are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provide:

  • Wheelchair-accessible entrances and facilities
  • Accessible restrooms
  • Designated accessible parking spaces
  • Accommodations for individuals with sensory disabilities

If you need specific accommodations at any of our locations, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to assist you.
